our certification process
Submission
Lodge your building application and supporting documents via our online portal. If any required information is missing, we’ll contact you to request further details before assessment can commence.
01
Review
We assess your plans and documentation for completeness and compliance with the Building Act 1975, the local planning scheme, the National Construction Code (NCC), and relevant standards. We’ll advise of any required amendments or additional supporting information.
02
Building Approval
Once the assessment is finalised and all required supporting documents and third-party approvals (where required) are received, we issue the Building Approval. We then lodge the approval with the relevant authority on your behalf for their records.
03
Inspections
We carry out mandatory inspections at key stages, including the final stage inspection, to confirm work aligns with the approved plans and conditions. Any non-compliances are recorded and must be rectified before the next stage can be signed off.
04
Certificates
When all required inspections are passed and compliance requirements are met, we issue the relevant certificates, including the Final Form 21 where applicable. These documents confirm the building work has been completed in accordance with the approval.
05
Final Submission
We compile and lodge the final certification documents with the relevant authority on your behalf. This finalises the inspection and certification process for record-keeping and compliance.
